does anyone know anywhere i can get a pair of jeans taken up, using the original hem? a coworker of mine used to go to a woman in bexley who would shorten jeans and reattach the original hem so they didn't look like grandma jeans. but she's apparently no longer in business.

go to Dr. Mojoe and ask for Brittany. She does their alterations, but I think she will do stuff on the side. She can hem them up the regular way, but keep the original hem look. You can tell her Robert from Brownstone sent you.

thanks everyone! i was thinking of asking at dr mojoe so i'll probably try there first. but now i have a list in case i need this done in the future (which i will - i'm 5'2").
also, i figured there had to be a name for this but i had never heard canadian hem before. those canadians sure love their denim.

but only if you're cool enough to actually buy jeans from the place (I love referencing past threads), but anyway, Brittany will do it regardless of where you bought them, at her house, not on company time, and she's the bomb.

Alterations by Marie, just south of the corner at Front and Long... she's pretty good and VERY reasonable. She hasn't done any complex alterations for me, but she ran up some pillows with trim for me that are GORGEOUS, and charged me about 1/10th of what other stores wanted to charge. And she's really fast. For simple hems and such, you can't beat her prices.

Cj Daniels downtown on East Main will always hem jeans at reasonably
low price and quick turn around, next day if necessary. Tricky-hem is
the salesperson's term at Nordstrom, and they will do it, but you have to pay
a expensive fee and wait awhile for them. The other option si Mojoe's
There is a really talented tailor in the Huntington Bank Building on High St
in Worthington, she is the best!

Hey HeySquare! Do you by any chance have Marie's business hours? I've called once at 10am, and once at 6pm, but the phone just keeps ringing... Is she still open? I need a simple hem done and I don't want to pay Dr. Mojoe prices.

She's usually open until 6PM on weekdays. As far as I know she's still there... Her sign was still up the last time I drove by.
I'm going to check with someone who works close by to confirm. I'll update once I've heard back
