all weekend the arena grand is hosting this film festival. i highly encourage anyone and everyone to check it out. highlights include independant fare from local film-makers and award-winning indie films like Off the Map. I'll personally point out that Takashi Miike's film One Missed Call will be playing both saturday and sunday nites, he makes really good foreign horror movies. Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt's The Animation Show will also be running saturday and sunday.

I might have to go to this. I am not extremely familiar with Takashi Miike's films but I did like "Ichi the Killer" and "Audition" (although they are NOT for the squeamish). Would be great to see some good Independent Film in town.
