Dayton.

So they are afraid that the Greyhound bus station will bring lots of crime and want to keep that kind of scariness in downtown Dayton? What a shame.

They're threatening a prayer vigil? Does Jesus not want people to leave the driving to Greyhound?

i wouldn't want a bus station near me either. I wouldn't want to live near a busy bus stop either.

Residents opposing a proposed move of Greyhound bus operations to the city’s RTA hub...
The RTA hub handles about 294 buses daily. Greyhound would run around 20 buses daily if an agreement is reached to move from its downtown Dayton location.

I know there is a jazz club in/next to the current one. Maybe that has something to do with not wanting it to change?

The thoughts that come to mind:
How long has the RTA station been at the present location? If it's seeing around 300 buses a day already, what are 20 more going to do?
More to the first, if you move into an area with an active transit hub, you really can't complain too much. It's like building near Port Columbus or Rickenbacker then complaining about expansion or noise.

I agree with the residents. Moving the Greyhound station from downtown to the RTA hub in the suburbs is a bad idea.
It would be much better to move the RTA hub in the suburbs to downtown, preferably on a plot (if such a plot exists) large enough to accommodate a 3-C stop when that line comes through as well. :)

Having been to the Greyhound station in Dayton several times, I will say it is not the nicest place.
