I'm interested to see how this goes off in CBus. This guy is probably the most popular dj in the world right now.

i must admit that i have heard some of his music but not all of his music. i will for sure be there after i stuffed my stomach, watch a little football and then dance the night away. i keep hearing from my friends that this is going to be bigger than tiesto and teisto was an amazing show even though to get in was horrible since they did not know how to organize a damn line for people to get it. i'm glad that Columbus is staying strong with the EDM scene.

Well, if Columbus is on par with the rest of the world as to what is popular within the edm scene, than this show will be huge. I cannot remember as much hype for any dj as there has been for Guetta over the past year or two. His FMIF party during wmc has become the must-have ticket that week. Two years ago he played something crazy like 7 or 11 hours or something on the Space Terrace, and people couldn't stop talking about it. He closed the main stage at Electric Zoo festival in NYC and it was a mad house as everyone at the festival left the tents to flood the area for his set. I was in Ibiza for the closing parties and his night at Pacha sold out on one of the Thursdays. That's right, sold out.... in Ibiza. He came beforehand to play down at one of the sunset bars. We had a table for some dinner, drinks, and the sunset. We stuck around for a while, and by the time he was about to come on, we couldn't even get up and move around because it was so crowded. People (especially girls) just going nuts. Maybe old school Tiesto or Oakenfold might compare, but it is just unreal how fast this guy sky-rocketed to the top. He's been around for a while, but it seems like fairly recently that he has blown up. He has really found a niche and seems to have successfully made a bit of a crossover from edm to mainstream pop and radio play. After producing that song for the Black Eyed Peas, his name has spread like wildfire through the industry. I have yet to see him in a club, so I might try to make it out for this. It's not my preferred type of edm, but anyone who's heard his stuff has to admit that it's very catchy. What I have heard from him live has been a pretty decent mix of his popular vocal stuff along with some dirty basslines and funky french house. Pretty fun stuff, actually. Should be a good show. Some real international power in CBus with this and A&B the week before. Props.

Consider yourselves fortunate, Columbus. The closest DG be to Columbus is Chicago and that’s in December. Expect crowds from all around the area. This will be a BIG night so get your ticket now. Most people (myself NOT included) will be off the next day, so get out and work off that Turkey.
I hope BIG Thanksgiving shows become a Columbus tradition. (hint hint)
