"Never volunteer information" says my sister the former bank teller, and I'm guessing this father is getting a lesson in that.

I think the guy just did this to make a viral video, he probably has no kid or his kids don't have a laptop yet.

I'm leaning towards this is fake. Can't put my finger on it but something doesn't seem right.

True, what IT pro pays that much for software?

I think he actually just screwed up her computer while trying to fix it and made this viral video so someone on the internets will feel sorry for the girl and send her a new laptop.
It's genius really. The cowboy thing is just to make it all seem convincing, right? ;)

We all know what Paul Harvey used to say.
HOW SHE GOT CAUGHT: The Dog Did It.. no, really.
I finally came out and told her this today, partly because it was too funny NOT to share.
When my daughter made her post, she used Facebook's privacy settings to block "Family" and "Church" friend's lists. All her other friends could see it. We, of course could not.
One of our dogs is always getting in photos and therefore has her own Facebook pa...ge. It's just a cute dumb thing we did for fun. Well, the dog's profile is rarely used except when funny pictures of her are posted. Since that's not too often, and she has very few friends on Facebook, her wall is kind of bare, with relatively few posts showing up on it.
The other night we gave the dog a bath and there was a funny photo we uploaded to Facebook and tagged her in. I logged in as the dog the next morning to comment on the photo. However when I logged into the dog's profile, my daughter had forgotten to add her to the "family" list.... so our family dog's profile showed her post right there on the front page.
It wasn't any parent-hacking, computer spying, or monitoring of any kind.. the dog actually ratted her out completely by accident. She hasn't petted that dog all day today...

parents do the best they can to raise their kids, while competing with cell phones, facebook, etc. for their kids' attention.
this guy was obviously frustrated, and comunicating with his daughter through the medium she has her head wrapped around was his best way to get his point across
the fact he doesn't want his family to be propped up and whored out by the media makes him a class act.
let the stone throwing continue.

Discharging a firearm into your daughters computer is not only frightening but should grab the attention of cps. Absolutly ridiculous.. His communication skills are terrible btw.
He was imagining shooting his daughter. He basically said next time you embarrass us(well really me) I'm gonna fucking kill you. Thats the message I recieved from the video.

If he wanted to use her medium, then he would have posted a message addressed to her from the dog's facebook wall or something similar.
Taking the time to produce the video and post it publicly on youtube to share with the whole world is spiteful, vengeful and immature. The guy clearly felt the need to one-up his daughter when seeking revenge.
Every kid complains about their parents to their friends, whether it's in person or on Facebook or whatever.
It takes a special kind of parent to want to embarrass their kid in front of the whole world to prove their petty personal point.
Class act, all the way.

How's that arrogant? As in I'm being arrogant? Do you know the definition of arrogance?

I think the family did get a visit from the cops & CPS... heard something on the radio about it. Also something about the parents being divorced & the kid deciding to come live with the dad she's not lived with much of her life (and his wife). It's impossible to day - maybe the mom is an even bigger train wreck.

cps came and went,no problems.

If she gets the rifle she wants, I hope someone else teaches her gun safety. Discharging a full magazine of hollowpoints 5 feet away into the ground with no eye or ear protection is crazy. Eight shots that close would leave your ears ringing for hours.
