What was the pizza that Michael Coyote brought? I really liked that one. It started with a 'D' and was square. Cheese and pepperoni.
It was fun getting people to eat pizza before they arrived to let us in. :)

Walker wrote +1 to what the Gourmand said. We had a great turnout. Roughly 45-50 people when I did a headcount. Plenty of pizza to go around (double thanks to everyone who brought food) and hopefully everyone took some home with them to keep anything from going to waste. I think that's probably the hardest part at the end of the event... convincing people who are stuffed with pizza to take some home. ;)
gramarye took care of the leftovers -I think his tupperware weighed in at 4lbs..... oh and some of the leftovers made their way to a wedding reception. What better way to say congratulations than cold pizza?!

Thanks to CMH Gourmand and Walker for pulling the event together... I think it's safe to say that good times were had by all (and I know it's safe to say that I've now had venison as a pizza topping.)
My only complaint - nobody brought Bexley Pizza Plus?!

You'd be surprised. I think I was the first person to box up some leftovers to take home, and I was shocked to see 75% of Jim's Adriatico's still in tact. Quite a few others were still half there.
I was doing my best to convince everyone to take some home with them, but I think everyone was too full to even want to think about reheated pizza for the following morning. ;)
Glad to hear that it didn't go to waste!

I don't know how you all eat so much pizza? I get to running my mouth and drinking and I forget it's even there :lol:

When I filled up my leftover dish, there was still a fair amount left that I couldn't take, and I was among the last to leave. There were definitely leftovers. There were other people starting to arrive, though, so I'm sure that at the end of the day, none got thrown out.

It can certainly be done. It would be easiest in the summer or fall though. Flour from Flying J, mozzarella from Blue Jacket, pepperoni from Bluescreek (though to be honest I haven't tried theirs yet), mushrooms from Toby Run, veggies and tomatoes from wherever...
Now if only my oven wasn't on the fritz! It would be a perfect food for the October eat local challenge (which I am participating in.)

she said you were really cool! she had a great time. it was wierd, I was out back most of the night and when i went out there the place was packed with pizza eating people, then I think at one point it was just Barb, Sherman, Sherman's freind and I, and then the place was packed again.
at one point I did go home to let the dogs out, but that is the first time in a long time I've spent 8 hours in the same bar. the night seemed to fly by, I had a great time with everyone I talked to.

LL bought me my first beer of the night, so he will live forever as a hero in my mind :D
