You can have all of mine, Roland. I'll be drinking their vodka collection tonight.
Oh, and I should mention that tonight's Happy Hour includes a special guest: Anne! She's skipped out on the last few of them. ;)

Today is the day I make the plunge and attend a CU Happy Hour.
As the Dude would say, "I'll be there, man"
Look for me, I'll be the funny looking guy from Columbus who doesn't know anyone.Posted 2 years ago # -
Heh, give it 15 minutes at a Happy Hour and you'll know everyone. We're a very welcoming group. ;)

I know you don't want everyone to know about your dirty little secret... but you're a very nice guy in real life.
Whoops! Now everyone knows!

Big thanks to everyone who came out tonight. I did my best as usual to make it around to saying hi to everyone, so I hope no one went overlooked. As always, great to meet new people as well as see some regulars out.
And I have to say, I was impressed with the tuna dish. Of everything, it left a lasting impression. Would eat again.

It was worth leaving the house-- quite a feat these days!
Good bourbon and conversation at Barrel 44, even better after party at Details, which I'd never been to. Everyone, go to Details Tuesday for the Tuna Tartare Tacos. Un-freaking-believable, 3 for $5. Bartender Chris Dillman downstairs was a real treat as well-- very educational and a joy to talk with.
Great to talk to everyone. As usual, my social anxiety was noticeably subdued with a little bourbon :)

Hoooray for bourbon!Posted 2 years ago # -
I really should have gone to the happy hour and met all the wonderful CUers. We're VERY likely to be purchasing a house (closing tomorrow: knock on wood) really close to Barrel 44, and it's about damn time I make it out and introduce myself. Man, I am so lame. Perhaps next time...

"Would eat again." +1That's totally a Sheltie dude. Anyhow, the food there overall was good! I enjoyed everything I had. However, I would not pay $8 for 2 scallops. $4 is perfect! The drinks are pretty good too. Especially the Bourbonilla.
