We've got a date and time for our CU Board Game Event!
Surly Girl has graciously offered to host our event in the Parlour Room! Game playing starts at 2 p.m. Sunday February 7th, and goes into the evening, time to be determined by how much fun we are having!
Due to Ohio liquor laws, no playing cards or dice not associated with a board game are allowed.
There are sure to be game themed cupcakes and cocktails, and food and drinks can be ordered at the bar, so feel free to grab your favorite game and head to Surly Girl for a nerdy good time!

@KSquared Sounds amazing. I will definitely make an appearance.
Since we can't do any card games and are forced to played dice in the alley behind Surly Girl, what games should be bring? How many games can we have going at once?

I am going to squelch the project manager in me, who would prefer sign up sheets with times and games to be played ;)
I would say if you have games you want to bring, just bring them. We had quite a few listed on the other thread, but I would not make assumptions about someone else bringing them. If they are duplicate, no harm in that. I think number of games will depend on what type of games people decide to play?Posted 2 years ago # -
Thank you for organizing this, KSquared. I'm looking forward to it!

Wait, does Apples to Apples count? They're cards, but they aren't CARDS.

"Exactly.
Love the new avatar SJT."Thanks! New member Jarsloth made it for me :)
I would love to host one of these game nights as well sometime. The seating isn't the most conducive for it though. If you have a small group, or lots of 2 people games and one 4 person table, we could make it work. Two of my bartenders are known for playing Scrabble or Backgammon with regulars on slow shifts. We have a giant dictionary behind the bar to keep things in check too- ha. Fun stuff!

I suggest just doing the same thing we do for the pizza grand prix events: just post here what you're bringing, if you already know.
If I show, I'll have Dominion, Pandemic, and Bang! with me.

I'm in for bringing Apples to Apples as well as the expansion. I'll also check with @geedeck about his preferred suggestions.
