I was curious if anyone had been yet and respectivly what were your experiences. Here is the website info for the shop: http://www.crimsoncup.com/
I stopped in to CC this morning at the location just north of Henderson on High St. I noticed to new coffee shop over the last week and as I tend to make the starbucks stop in route to work for the $5 start my day latte. At first glance the setup of the store was very nice. Cozy couches, a flat screen TV, and Lots of rich stained wood dressings. The appearance was still very similar to a starbucks or chipotle in that it looked like the store came out of a box and was assembled. The store was also dressed with signs that refrenced locals supporting this coffee shop as opposed to a large corporate driven one (starbucks). Now the funny thing that I found out after a search of the website is that crimson cup itself has a growing roster of stores that is quickly reaching numbers that reflect that of a corporate driven marketing plan. So their strategy kind of baffles me a bit.
As for the latte I ordered this morning. It was a Vanilla latte with 2 extra shots. The same drink i get from sixbucks oops I mean starbucks. I must say that the drink wasn't all that great and was no comparison to my usual. The kicker was it was the same price just over $5. I hate to say it but I'm not sure i will return for my morning kick in the butt. I would like to hear your experiences. Now I will say that the staff was very friendly and interested to hear how I usually start my day.
