I get sick thinking about all you can eat crab legs... china buffet on north high was not a good idea 10 years ago, there's a price to pay for inexpensive all you can eat crab legs... a heavy price indeed.
i've got nothing constructive to add to this thread, i'm not too keen on purchasing seafood in central ohio... my unfounded paranoia trumps the logic of modern packaging and shipping, if I can see the sea on the other hand- then I feel more comfortable.
ahoy!

As a matter of fact, I was walking to Jeni's in Grandview last week and saw that EJ's Canyon Cafe has them on Wednesday. I found that a bit odd, but there ya go.

Hong Kong buffet on Henderson road has them for their night buffet. I've never had them, but know people who did and did not seem to have any adverse effects.

the china buffetts have them for dinner.
sunday i went to Big Bear/Big Bird and got some king crab on sale for I think around $10lb. hella easier than picking away at snow crab.

yeah, i was specifically thinking NOT Chinese buffet, I probably should have said that. Their crab legs are always skinny and saturated with water, and make you poop.
I know the Ugly Tuna used to have them on Sundays, but they realized the profit did not equal the cost.
I was just in the mood for crab legs last night.

Go to the super market- they are not hard to make? Baltimore now gets all of its crab from Chinia, sooo.... not so sure a chinese place is going to be any worse??

I just boil them. most of these say to thaw them first. I don't, just throw them in if you want.

They are already cooked and frozen- Just need to warm them and melt some butter (I personally like to broil just about everything)

A brunch at the 94th is just the most awesome shitte around. yum
I was at Giant Bear tonight and they had MONSTER-Fish Market sized crab legs for 12 to 15 bucks a package. I almost bought a package just to chow. Not a great late night snack.....that's a lie, but not tonight.
Joe's Crab Shack has some decent crab but certainly not like Fish Market.

I've never been impressed with Joe's Crab Shack. I think it SHOULD'VE been good, especially the flavored crab legs, but the prices are too high and the execution is very mediocre.
Staff dancing the Macarena on chairs/tables does not a quality meal make. (Do they even do that anymore?)

That's actually kind of a sad and scary thought.
I don't think so...actually they were kind of surly and forgetful.
But my main waitress was out to HEEEERRREEE pregnant, so I just couldn't be honest in my tipping what it deserved and tipped my usual nice tip.
The flavored stuff was kinda gross, but the boiler bucket is a small smorgasborg. Definitely not the best, but in a pinch it works.

BTW, used that Giant Eagle special to make a CRAZY good Crab Bisque tonight.
