Anyone tried this place yet? New southwestern restaurant from the people behind Banana Bean, at High and Morrill.
I thought it was supposed to be opening on Oct. 19th but haven't heard anything in a while and don't know if that happened.

Rumor has it that there was a snag in the liquor license. Something to do with the previous owner, I heard.
I can't wait until this place opens!!
This was just sent over from robin:

Just a little info; We are waiting for the license to transfer from the location we used to have on Whittier. We are excited to bring something different to our neighborhood. I have worked with Civic Associations in this neighborhood for a long time now and believe in what they are doing for this community. Ganthers Place, Marion Village, Vassor Village, Hungarian Village they work hard to make a difference. Some would shy away from the area but it is home to us and we love it!
Sorry back to Coyote Janes we are waiting for the license to clear and we should hear something on the 9th of October we have been ready and waiting it will be opening very soon.
She must mean November 9th, not October. So glad that they are still going to open. Between Coyote Jane's and the Bow Wow our little area is really looking up. I can't wait to go to Coyote Jane's for dinner (and hopefully lunch as well).
The Twitter-verse confirms that Coyote Jane's is opening VERY SOON. I still don't know what that means, but I like it.
They had their soft opening tonight. Food was wonderful. Defiantly worth the wait!
I'm not sure what the hours are but they are open for business!
Their menu looks fantastic.
can't wait for the hard opening
Any updates on this? Anyone been? Is it open now? I don't get over to Merion Village much and don't wanna drive over if it doesn't have set hours yet.
They did a soft open on Friday and were open yesterday too. Not sure if they're fully open or not...
The soft open started the last two nights at 6 pm both nights. If you want firm hours, you'll probably have to wait until the hard open.
This is from the Banana Bean Facebook acct...

I always forget my password for Columbus Underground so if someone could pass on a little info for me that would be great. We got our license in hand on Thursday afternoon, opened the doors friday night and sat night. We will be closed due to the holiday through this week, we will be open next weekend again at 5pm to 12pm Friday and Sat. Then start our schedule for dinner service the following week.
Anyone eat here yet?
I noticed they were open the other night (driving back with Rice Bowl...)
Thinking about trying for a Friday dinner here.
how is the rice bowl. I drive by that place all the time going to Lowes and it always looks fairly empty
Nothing Better To Do Vegetarian Blog Review of Coyote Janes
I'm gonna check it out soon! Anyone have any menu recommendations?
Drove by today around 4, looked closed, shades drawn, neon off
I'm a tree-hugging hippie, so I only tried the meatless items. The Sundance Kid was great, and the final menu has a vegetarian burro that was also very good. I love the hot salsa. The final menu was far more vegetarian-friendly than it was during the soft opening. And the drink prices were very fair. Although I'll have to wait until spring to live my dream of riding a bike to get margaritas, I'll nonetheless be driving here regularly to eat.
