Hello from the Couchfire Collective!
We hope you've had a great start to the new year. We're writing to
invite you to join us for our Open House event!
Saturday, February 9, 2008
6pm - 9pm
at Junctionview Studios
889 Williams Avenue, Grandview Heights, Ohio, 43212
We will open our studios and display our latest work for an evening
of art and conversation. You're invited to come see what we've been
up to over the winter and what we have in the works for 2008! Food
and drinks will be provided. All are welcome! Feel free to forward
this to friends!

This will be a great way to see some quality work. I have the privledge of seeing the insides of these studios often and I know these guys have been working hard. I can't wait to come check out the open house!

I have no idea how I'm going to pull work together for this. I went into this year hoping to intentionally minimize the number of things I was doing and there has just been an avalanche of opportunity.

Man I would be uber excited to see you doing live painting fior the open house rather than worry about having a ton of completed work. I really enjoy the commentary that comes with your work and you working on it. This in the right setting can draw a person in far better than simply looking at a piece hanging on the wall. I t also helps build connections with the artist. Just a thought!

The best sales moments for me have been while I'm painting in public. The first time I did it was at a gallery hop and teh reception (and sales) were great. I agree that there's nothing else that brings the viewer and the artist closer to making that connection we're all striving for.

While you're marveling at the Couchfire work, don't forget to step out and check out the 6 amazing E.M.E.R.G.E. artists. Wow, so much art for one night...we must be in teh Indie Art Capital of the World or something...
