Many people choose to eat at Cotters Restaurant before Columbus Blue Jackets games or before concerts at Nationwide Arena because of the convenience. For those who decide to take a chance and dine there- BEWARE. Due to Cotters recent shut down by the Ohio Department of Taxation, the owner had to pay the IRS tens of thousands of dollars to reopen the restaurant. Because of this, he was unable to afford employees and was forced to let several go, including the chef. This leaves few kitchen staff workers and will lead to extremely long wait times to receive your food. It is recommended that you either choose another restaurant to dine at where you will not wait 45 minutes to get your food or make your reservations much earlier in the evening.

It is too bad that another restaurant that would have something to really contribute to the area doesn't go in and take this mess over. The ownership has a horrible reputation in the restaurant community and many excellent carreer restaurant people in Columbus have been burned by the owners there. A revolving door of staff and management speaks volumes and is a big reason why they're not busy, a bad reputation preceeds them. Ask yourself next time you're tempted to eat there if it is wise to dine at a slow restaurant where food sits around waiting to be eaten and people without a concience are deciding whether or not to serve it?

I heard the fish tacos were good.Heh. Yeah, I just mentioned that I had them there the other day after their reopening, and thought they were pretty good. I didn't really notice anything different from the last time I was there (in May at the CU Happy Hour).
