I went to the Proposed Service Changes meeting today

There isn't anything major out of what happened, considering the meeting was brief (only 15 minutes)

The other meeting is @ Whetstone Library on the 22nd @ 6, I think

Among the proposed changes for September (which begins on Labor Day):
Addition of Sunday service on # 95 (from Graceland to Hamilton/Morse)
Possible extension of # 21 (either a longer line or Thursday night service)
Shortening service of # 84 at night
More Saturday trips on the # 1
More Weekday/Evening trips on the # 2

They also mentioned that July 5th- the Monday AFTER July 4th, buses will run Sunday Service.

Good to hear about a possible extension for the #21. If it can run through Downtown to German Village I think it would have an even bigger level of usage without a huge extension/detour.

And I think if they made the 21 run on thursday night it'd get more usage too

The # 95 is the only one of those set in stone, from what I've heard.

How about the #10 Broad Street? If you want to use it on the weekends it usually runs about every 30 minutes!! Thats if its on time!

They are only increasing service by 5 percent, because of the state of the economy, so they're not increasing service as fast as they want to, according to spokespeople at the meeting.

Increasing Saturday service is long overdue on the # 1, because I remember going downtown from Otterbein on Saturdays, and the bus was almost crowded by the time the bus was at Morse Road, and then packed when it left Northern Lights.

As for the # 10, urbanboy, it may take a while, but call COTA would be my best bet.

extending the hours of the number 2 on saturday would reap major benefits. if I need to take the bus back up north from the SN, the last one that goes by for worthington/crosswoods is around 10.

who ends their gallery hop night at 10???

I wonder how much they mean to cut the 84. Most of the kids that work at Target or at the AMC don't get out till at least midnight and depend on that bus to get back to campus.

You took the words right out of my mouth!
Sundays are the worst. It runs almost every hour, which sucks if you need to go to the grocery store.

I think they meant the number of trips during the day.
