Love the revamp for city center. Kind of looks they skinned the existing structure with a new classical exterior. My reasoning is that the structure remains three stories and in the same arrangement as the mall. In the rendering it has green space over the one area where the underground parking garage doesn't exist too, just like the old city center.

I don't know why, but architectural renderings seem to be the most common form of art for the artist to not get attribution, have their signature cropped out of the final product, etc.

Yeah, I imagine it was submitted as a proposal for renovating the old building before the decision was made to tear it down.

Walker - thanks for posting this. Yes, this rendering of City Center was done before the decision to tear it down. We were hired by a local developer who was interested in redeveloping the failed mall by using the exisiting building.
Roscoe - You are correct - this redering of Meleca Architecture's design is by Paul Kelley. We use him for all our renderings. And you are also correct - we should credit him. Thanks for pointing that out. Our apologies.
Stay tuned to our blog next week - it will feature the latest design for the Columbus Commons project. Another local developer has been working the past year to secur financing in order to begin construction.

Wow. I mean wow. I just looked at the renderings and I've gotta say their beautiful. That BalletMet building would be, if built, arguably the most beautiful building downtown. That Shadowbox rendering looks much better and more bold that the previous one I saw. As far as the Easton Phase III pic, that is what Easton should look like. Instead most everything that gets built downtown "plays it safe" and is for the most part uninspiring.

Look at the 4th and 5th photos, I believe those were based on the initial idea for city center ( http://www.kelleydesignco.com/illustration - 4th photo). I've never seen these renderings before.
