My thoughts:
For the creative side of things, go with Banana Bean, Skillet, Tasi, or Cafe Corner in Harrison West. They all do unique stuff, especially the first two.
If you want to show Columbus' traditional side, go with a diner like Tommy's, German Village Coffee House, or DK Diner. I'd pick DK from that list. Get a half dozen of donuts to go, too. Best in town.
If you're willing to head out to Hilliard, go with Starliner Diner. It's honestly one of my favorite breakfasts in town. Huevos Rancheros, Chiliquiles, Cuban French Toast... My other favorites include chicken and waffles at Linden Cafe, or country fried steak at The Best Breakfast & Sandwiches (out in Westerville).

You know I was thinking Banana Bean was the spot but I think I'm now totally sold on this 94th place.
It sounds magical with a touch of whimsy, who doesn't like whimsy in the morning?

I love the touch of whimsy in the morning, it smells like pancakes shaped like bunnies.

If you ever want a truly trippy experience without taking any drugs head over the 94th on a Wednesday for their karaoke. The regulars are, interesting.

94th is a good place to take a group. it is an interesting place with a variety of food. But the food isn't that remarkable. the space is what makes it good.
banana Bean, I don't know, it was Eh last time we went and we never really considered going back.
The best sunday brunch I've had has to be Sage for quality of breakfast food.
Jack and benny's, Mozarts, wildflower, and warehouse cafe(I think closed on sunday) all have great breakfasts.
Tip Top I think has a brunch menu, so does Due Amici; though I haven't been to either yet.

I'm disappointed to see the crab legs removed from the 94th menu.

Love Wildflower on Indianola (cash only, though)! Plus, you can go for an after-breakfast trip to Weiland's :)
Northstar is also awesome, they often have yesterday's cookies (as big as a dinner plate) for $1 while they last (which isn't long) so you can pick those up at breakfast as an edible souvenir for later.

Had some Weissewursht and fries for brunch today at my house. I got the sausage from the West Side Market in Cleveland.
