I have some friends in town and am looking for a cool/good place to take them for breakfast. I would like to find someplace very uniquely Columbus, preferably in the downtown, Short North, German Village areas or some other non-suburban strip mall location; i.e. not Bob Evans. Do any of you have good suggestions? It can be cheap expensive, whatever. I am more concerned with good food and great atmosphere. Thanks for the help!!!

Tasi's in the Short North (behind Rigsby's on Pearl Alley) has a unique breakfast and atmosphere. Another great downtown place for breakfast is Jack's on Lynn Alley (between High and Third Streets).

Yeah Skillet will be memorable for them due to the creative and fancy foods you can get.
GV Coffee Shop gets my vote, but its like any other greasy spoon and may not stick in their mind as much, less uniquely Columbus in a way.

For something memorable, I'd suggest Skillet, Banana Bean or Tasi. Northstar, Cucos and Skyliner Diner all have my votes as well.
