Hey Underground family. If possible, can someone advise me with any locations I could take a VHS tape and have it converted over to a DVD? No, I do not have any equipment at home to do it. No, I do not have a VCR anymore so I have no problem spending a little bit of money to get it done the right way. Thanks for any information.

I am pretty sure I have seen this as a service offered at the CVS photo counter. I think it was around $30 - $40 per tape.

i spent less than $200 3 or 4 years ago for a dvd/vcr combo that would also burn your vhs to dvd. if it was that cheap back then, you've gotta be able to lay your hands on 'em now for next to nothing. . . .

i do still have a vcr!Depends if you want to just copy it to dvd or if you want to really produce it with fancy menues and stuff on your computer.
Either way, though, I'd recommend putting an image stabilizer filter between the tape and the input to the digitizer. mpeg encoding will tend to highlight any shifts in signal level off the tape. You can fix that stuff but its better to just fix it at the source that at the destination.
