This conference will provide an organizing space for students and community members throughout Ohio. Workshops will feature action-oriented discussions regarding topics such as urban gardening as a solution to agricultural inequality, the history of hip hop and social justice, histories of race and racialization, social change through the arts, using media to bridge the cultural gap, transportation and autonomy, and many more. Free admission, free childcare, free food, and free housing options for out-of-towners are available.
Confronting Racism: Building United Movements will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. at Mendenhall Laboratory on the OSU campus. An after party will be held at Victorian's Midnight Café, from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
