"vocaldente" (www.vocaldente.org), a world famous a cappella singing group from Germany - which has won international singing competitions in Taipei (Taiwan), Tampere (Finland), San Francisco and many other locations - will perform.
Tickets for the concert ($12 adults, $6 students) are available at the door, or from any singing member of the Columbus Männerchor or Damenchor, or by contacting George Rodewald (jemielni@insight.rr.com, tel. 614-395-9805).
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Columbus Männerchor (www.maennerchor.com) - the oldest continuously operating singing society in the United Sates - which is sponsoring the event. The funds will be used toward the renovation of the German Heritage Haus, which will soon be the Männerchor's new home.
This event also represents the Männerchor's renewed commitment to community outreach in the form of sponsoring and supporting musical and cultural events for the people of Central Ohio.
Launched in August 2010, TheMetropreneur.com is a local online resource devoted to small business development and entrepreneurship. Its aim is to tell the stories of Central Ohio's business community, foster regional economic development and assist entrepreneurs with its resource-heavy focus.
