Homes on the Hill Community Development Corporationwill host a Come Home to the Hilltop open house on Sunday, June 28, 2009, 1 to 4 p.m. to showcase five affordable homes the nonprofit has rehabbed as “move-in ready†for qualified buyers.
Ranging in price from $74,900 to $89,000, the homes are lead safe and comprehensively rehabbed. Three of the homes are also available for lease/purchase to qualified buyers. A lease/purchase allows a potential buyer to become ready for home ownership through one-on-one counseling with Homes on the Hill’s HUD-certified housing counselors. Counseling is available in Spanish.
Qualified buyers will have household income of 80 percent or lower of Columbus-area median income. For a household of one, this is $38,400, or $44,000 for a two-member household. Down payment assistance is available.
The homes for sale are: 77 N. Wheatland Ave, 224 N. Eureka Ave., 179 N. Ogden Ave., 485 Columbian Ave., and 1639 Marsdale Ave.
