
The third annual Columbus Wine Festival presented by Giant Eagle is set for August 26 and 27 at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 1777 E. Broad Street, just east of downtown Columbus.
Set within the 88 acres of Franklin Park, the event offers a variety of tastings, food & wine education, cooking demos by local chefs and live music by the Lloyd Dobler Effect from Washington, D.C. and Michael Heaton Band from Chicago, Illinois, in a fabulous outdoor setting. Festival guests can taste from a selection of more than 275 domestic and international wines and enjoy food from some of the finest Columbus area restaurants, including Barrio Tappas, Due Amicci, Ruth’s Chris, Luce Enoteca and Trattoria Roma.
A festival highlight is the Best of Belgium Café presented by Stella Artois featuring Belgian beers Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe.
Adult Wine Tasting Tickets are $27 in advance (purchased online) and $35 at the door. There are no handling or processing fees for online orders. This ticket includes a souvenir wine glass, ten tastings, Festival Program, Food & Wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, and the opportunity to purchase wine at a discount.
Additional tasting coupons may be purchased at the festival. Designated Driver Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. This ticket includes two non-alcoholic drinks, Festival Program, Food & Wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, and a souvenir wine glass upon departure. Those under 21 admitted free when accompanied by paid adult.
The festival’s proceeds will benefit the Franklin Park Conservatory, a premier horticultural and educational institution showcasing exotic plant collections, special exhibitions and signature collections. The Conservatory's mission is to nurture plants and people and to promote environmental appreciation and ecological awareness for everyone.
