before CU one would have to grab and Alive, TOP, or other random free paper of choice. I suppose the dispatch might have stuff listed as well. so I guess check their websites.
or you could go out to clubs and hope your car gets flyered.

I get all of my news via rss feeds from pretty much every local news source online (newspapers, weeklies, tv, radio, etc) that generates one as well as every local blog I can find of interest.
I've got around 100 feeds if you want me to list them.
