What makes an orchestra an orchestra? It is much more than the 60 people on stage playing music. It’s about talent, passion, dedication, tradition and community. International concert pianist and host of NPR’s From the Top, Christopher O’Riley, is our insightful host, soloist and conductor us as we begin to answer that question in a very special evening at the Columbus Symphony .
For the first time, using pieces such as Brahm’s First Symphony and Ravel’s Tombeau de Couperin, you’ll be guided by the stories, insights and personal experiences of the Columbus Symphony Musicians themselves. Hear what they have to say as they invite us into their lives as musical artists and into the world of performing these great pieces.
This concert will delight all concertgoers, and is the quintessential first time experience for the symphonic newbie.
Tickets are just $10.00!
