My wife and I are relocating to Columbus in early 2012. I am opening a small cafe in downtown Columbus, but she is still looking for employment in the field of higher education.

She has 7 years experience in the industry as a manager and is looking at positions with OSU, Franklin, Columbus State, Capital, Otterbein, Ohio Dominican ths far. Anyone know of any positions or openings with these schools, or can you recommend any direct contacts with these schools?

Welcome! Keep us in the loop about your cafe. This group is all about quality food and drink. As for your wife's situation, there is a CU job posting thread. I just threw a few listings in there but I don't think those are what she's seeking. Honestly, her best bet is to check each school's job bank and to submit her resume to anything that sounds interesting. Sorry that sounds so obvious, but there are a gazillion different types of university jobs and I'm not sure which ones would make a good match for her.

Don't forget to add Columbus College of Art and Design to the search list. That'd be pretty convenient to a downtown cafe. Good luck.

Fickle's job would be ideal, but not sure she is qualified. Nor myself. We will leave football to the experts and stick to what we do best - tailgate.

not sure what sector she is looking for, but here are a few of other things.
1. at OSU not all jobs are listed on the main jobs@OSU page. for instance the Medical Center ~~and the Wexner Center for the Arts have~~ has their own listings.
2. depending on your commute, you may want to widen the circle to Ohio Wesleyan and Denison. both are about 20-minutes to an hour depending on where you live, and I know many people who commute from Columbus.
3. Columbus has several branch campuses for schools ranging from Ashland and OU, to Indiana Wesleyan and Central Michigan. Most are degree completion or grad programs sites.

OSU and Medical Center job listings can be accessed here. To the best of my knowledge, Wexner Center jobs are found on the University Listings link.

you're right, Wex jobs appear to be folded into the main page.
