Some good press.

This is actually one of the reasons I decided to buy a house in Columbus. The cost of living is low for the amount of amount of amenities the city offers.

Some good press.
Some good press but some bad as well. (bad usually disproportionately outweighs good) I mean, are we really obese here or is this partly a fulfillment of a midwest stereotype?
Seemed a little like backhanded compliment.
I'm with Hael --this article damns us with faint praise. No mention of our arts scene --or really of anything that would make me want to visit or live in Columbus. And why is "liberal" contrasted with "religious"? Thanks but no thanks MSN.
Seems very much like the perceptions of someone who spent a few days here, a few more googling "Columbus Ohio"
It doesn't sound like they spent much time here at all. I've visited Columbia, SC, and thought that whoever wrote that snippet has actually been a visitor there. The picture in the article has a really cool downtown fountain in the foreground. When I went to visit, my friend specifically took me to see the fountain because it's such a cool feature of their downtown. We hung out in both of the two neighborhood areas mentioned. If someone came to Columbus, and that is what their tour consisted of, I'd ask for my money back. It sounds like they got off the plane, drove to the Ohio State campus, and hopped back on a plane. I'm actually offended that they qualify all of our sports teams as minor league-- I know hockey and soccer aren't as high profile as baseball and football, but damn, the Crew are MLS *champions*.
@HeySquare - 100% agree with everything you said. I'm really hoping to get away from being a college town and go more to a great town that happens to have a great college in it.
From a quick perusal, it seems like this was hastily thrown together with very little fact checking. In fact, the first photo they put up of Buffalo, was actually a picture of Niagara Falls, Ontario. So let that guide how much credibility you give it.
