I don't have a problem supporting the library for what should be it's core mission of providing/lending books, and it sounds like most people don't. However, when the local libraries have turned a major part of their floor spaces into a "free" blockbuster, record store, and/or internet cafe, I do have a problem supporting it. If they want to offer these "premium" types services that is great, however generate some revenue from them. It seems their recent financial wows have not prevented them from purchasing at least 129 copies of Iron Man 2.
I do have to say that some of this stuff seems to be more about juicing their circulation numbers rather than promoting literacy.
