I've never lived anywhere that had so many freakin' vanity plates. Is it just too cheap that anyone can afford it?
The worst one I've seen so far happened this morning:
XBOXX360
Really?

The problem with vanity plates: 1% are cool and the other 99% show how much of a jackass the driver is. But everyone thinks they're in the 1%.
My mom used to rock: BILL N ME
AWWW!!!
yeah this is bizarre! it was one of the first things we noticed when moving here. and subsequently, many out-of-town guests have asked about it.
whats the deal?
i saw an "OK COMP" one... which is pretty okay. the worst one i ever saw was "2 BE ME". yea.
i think its a requirement that anyone who drives a MINI has to have that represented in their license plate though.
i really dont think Columbus has more of an affinity towards vanity plates than anywhere else though...
Towards the end of high school in Arlington there was a woman driving a mercedes who was pretty well known because the tags were "WAS HIS"
just mean.

oh thats good.
The very worst one I ever saw was in the parking lot of a place I used to work (and it was totally appalling) read: SLAVERY. I found out later that the owner's names was Sally Lavery. S. Lavery. But come on!
My mom has LKW 1. Her initials. Very uninteresting and completely not worth paying extra for each year. But whatever makes that kooky lady happy I guess...
I've had three different personalized plates since 2003. They're pretty cheap, relative to other states, and well worth it if you come up with something that makes someone react.
I'm confident in saying the absolute worst vanity plates out there are the jesus freak ones.

WCRS' Cheif Engineer has on that says WCRS 98.3. He drew in the point!
Not local but I always liked this one

I'm in the 1%!

Been wondering the same thing for the past year...
Weird.
I don't know where you all moved from, but Virginia has far, far more vanity license plates per capita than Ohio, and I'm pretty sure they're #1 in the nation. Probably 20% or more of the license plates there are vanities. I don't know how much it is in Ohio, but in VA it's $10/yr. That's chump change.
My goal is to drive a really eye-catching car someday--maybe something like the Tesla Roadster--with the license plate "MODESTY." 8)
Agreed on the Virginia. I spent a few weeks there one summer and EVERYONE has vanity plates. My friend who lived in Virginia said they are dirt cheap so everyone gets em.
I want ones that say
