I thought this girl's attempt to move back to Columbus was amusing:

"The family recently moved to Florida from Columbus, Ohio, and her parents said she hasn't made any new friends yet..."
Perhaps she should chill out and stop acting like a little nutcase.

Aw come on the kid is 8 years old and school hasn't started yet so how is she going to make friends. Besides hurricanes are scary especially if she remembers what happened to New Orleans.

Parent have obviously been letting the kid watch too much tv.

You know what I think is a good idea for the mental health of one's child? Broadcasting, on the local news and internet, a piece about how she can't make friends. Good luck in school now, missy!

Now that Google's cached it, she'll always be known as the "No Friends Hurricane Girl" If she's smart, she can become the next spokeschild for hurricane saftey as classrooms around the state. :)
Don't broadcasters call these their "human interest" stories?

I love how this is supposed to be "shock"
But it really just looks like that dumb face Homer gets sometimes. It's my favorite face around these parts! Oh, except for whatever plexiglas cooks up

My inlaws live one town over from Deland, FL and honestly I can understand the girl's panic and need to return to Columbus. It's about 100 degrees there with 100% humidity, and unless you can spend your day in a swimming pool it's hell on earth. Plus they have mosquitos the size of choppers and other gargantuan creepie crawlies. If I were her I'd be pedaling northward at a rapid pace, too.
That said, come winter she'll be loving life while we freeze. :)

You cannot compare a city with a whole state. That doesnt make any since. However, if you were to compare the two Florida is better by far. Its so bright and colorful and there is actually water and warmth. Plus they have places that resemble cities with a real downtowns. Have you people never seen CSI: Miami?

Oh Will Smith... You are so white.
Seriously though, I think we need to bring back the style of White pants, unbuttoned satin shirts, and large chain necklaces to Ohio. I think I'll wear that out to the club when I'm DJ'ing tonight... :D
