...of Forbes 20 Most Miserable Cities in America!!!

Unfortunately can't say the same about Youngstown, Akron, Canton, Toledo, and their #1 choice Cleveland...

Also - NYC, Chicago, Miami, and Philly all made the list.

They factored in unemployment, taxes (both sales and income), commute times, violent crime and how its pro sports teams have fared over the past two years, plus two indexes that gauge weather and Superfund pollution sites, and included the 200 largest metro areas - any area with a population of more than 245,000 was eligible.

Just a reminder that Columbus truly does not suck, especially in the context of a miserable Ohio.

Poor poor pitiful Cleveland. I love Cleveland. Good to see that they cited the Browns and the Indians as one of the reasons. 'Tis true!! Cleveland sports fans are the most diehard, loyal fans in the world. Tough as nails.

Think Detroit should have been #1....

Amusing that Jim Traficant was the picture for Yo-town.

Didn't Forbes also make a list of cities with terrible weather, which Cleveland also placed quite highly in? The point is, Clevelanders spent the entirety of the 20th century trying to make us Columbusites feel small and insignificant because we live in a Cow-Town. Now, they're like one of those old-money families that lost the family fortune, but they still act like they're hot shit.

Don't get me wrong, I like Cleveland, have family there, even root for their sports teams from time to time; but oftentimes it just seems like Cleveland is a great place to be from, emphasis on the word from.

I also feel like Detroit should have been number one. Not even G-d himself could pull that city up from the pits. And as much as I too love Cleveland, yeah they should be somewhere on the list at least

This is a very strange list, with New York, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis and Cleveland all mentioned in the top 10. Doesn't seem very credible.

These are pretty much the same cities that are always on the "bad" lists.
But I'm not surprised Columbus didn't make the list. Columbus is VERY different from any other city in Ohio. Sometimes it can be a not so good thing...but in this case it IS a good thing.

You're right...chicago and nyc actually did surprise me that they were up so high with Detroit, Flint, Cleveland, etc. They are harder to compare because they are so much larger and whatnot. Hm.

Forbes pays a monkey with bananas to throw a bunch of shit on a map and then they have their next top/bottom 20 cities list. Works every time!

While we've got more going on than Cleveland, it's still a solid, unique city. I don't know how you could visit and not like it; I'd imagine living there wouldn't be much different either.

That kind of stuff always screamed "inferiority complex" to me... so I never really got that irritated by it.

Since New York and Chicago are on the worst cities list and Columbus isn't, doesn't that mean Columbus is better than those cities. Hooray for Columbus and thank you Forbes for the compliment!
