Renovated Office Building Touts Columbus Commons as Amenity
By: Walker

Columbus Commons officially opened last summer, and since then we’ve seen a handful of adjacent development taking place, including the opening of the new MoJoe Lounge and de-NOVO Bistro across High Street.
On the other side of the park sits a dark glass office tower at 175 South Third Street, which was purchased by Tiano & Associates in 2009. Since then the building has begun a renovation project that helps to open up the backside of the building that faces the brand new park.

Meh, I think I'd rather see the world's largest mural rather than simple graphics and more advertisements.
But Nationwide is on our side.

Simple? No reason they couldn't do video projections or animations.

Cranes, tools and equipment will soon give way to lights, cameras and action Downtown at Columbus Commons, where the grand opening of its new stage will take place in late May. The first phase of construction on the park’s $5 million permanent stage and pavilion should be completed by Friday, well ahead of its first scheduled event — the finish of the Capital City Half Marathon on May 5.
Several weeks later, the all-free grand-opening weekend for the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion will include:

Anyone know what's up with the hours for the carousel? The website advertises Spring Hours as ending at 5pm on weekdays. So today I saw the carousel was running (my office window faces the park) and I left work early, picked up my son from daycare, and just as we arrived at the park to ride the carousel at 4:45... they were closing it up. Much to my 2-year-old's dismay.
I hope they realize that for many people, AFTER 5:00 is the most likely time they will be around to ride the carousel; I have many coworkers with kids in daycare downtown who would love to take advantage of early evening hours.
