We went over this afternoon with the kids and had a good time, though the crowds were a bit thinner right at 12:30. I imagine it'll get busier in the evening.
The Ice Slide was awesome. Rode down it with the kiddo three times. Really fast for a kid ride. ;) Both kids enjoyed the carousel and petting zoo too.
We got some Cheesy Truck for lunch, one of about a dozen food trucks & carts out there today.
There will be fireworks again tonight around 8:45. Fun!

I went last night around 7pm with my family and had a great time. My 2 year old LOVED the petting zoo with the little potbellied pigs, goats, donkeys, & baby llama. The carousel and train ride were also big hits for him.
I went to eat at Schmidt's before hand. I wish I'd known there would be so many food trucks or else I'd have eaten there.
There was a really good sized crowd last night as it got dark. Well done.

Fun night for my family. Started with three ribs, cheesy truck for the basil tomato soup, then two sets of fries from the tater truck. Hot cocoa for the kids. The alpaca at the petting zoo was what my kids want for Christmas now.

We went with the kids on Friday night and everyone had a great time.
While petting zoo's are disgusting the kids loved feeding the creatures.
I'd love to see this inspire more holiday lights in the downtown area and crossing fingers for holiday window displays in the store fronts.A mini ice rink would complete the holiday merriment.
I look forward to making this a family tradition. Next year I'll double up on the socks.Posted 5 months ago # -
Hopefully by next year there will be more storefronts to decorate. ;) There's a whole row of available spots along High Street on the other side of the park. But other than the liquor store (which is looking a lot nicer than it did a few months ago (prominently advertising local products out front!)) I don't really see a whole lot of holiday shopping to be done in the area.
