I just thought I'd chime in here and say that at Peachtoberfest we featured 1.5 hours with just 5 local comedians, and it was complete smash hit. I do think Columbus has the ability to develop a vibrant comedy scene, but it just needs to be developed and promoted in the right way. The most important thing that needs to happen is that our local comedians need to take to the street and promote themselves and the scene constantly, person to person.

Is anyone attending this event on Saturday: Urban Sketch Comedy Event? Know anything about it? I presume it's all local talent...

I have a venue on Henderson Rd I feel is very suitable for a Comedy Night. The owner has given me permission to do such a thing, but I don't have any experience running this type of event. Anyone interested in helping get this going?

After the success of the recent Columbus Comedy Festival, there has been a lot of excitement in the local comedy scene about building a more cohesive community of writers & performers. Therefore, I have created a new site devoted specifically to the Columbus humor scene - creatively named ColumbusHumor.com - which will allow performers to network, share ideas, promote upcoming shows and projects, participate in forum discussions, post pictures and videos, etc. Therefore, if you'd like to participate in the site's features, you will need to create a user acoount.
The site was built using the NING network creation site - and has a lot of different features. I, however, am not a graphic designer - so if there are any out there that would like to help make the site even better, please let me know.
Also, any thoughts or input on the site that you have are very much welcomed.
Sincerely,
