I was pretty sad to see the Festival move away from CCAD (and closer to where I live) but I have to say that I was impressed with the layout back at the riverfront and how well the Scioto Mile & improved Bicentennial Park complimented everything. The configuration on the two bridges was great and expansion to COSI & 400 in Franklinton was a nice fit.

I agree that it would be nice to see more local art in the festival, though it has improved on that front over the past few years with some new additions and collaborations.

Otherwise, if you want local art, go to Agora, Go West, Urban Scrawl, Independents Day, or any of the other dozens of local/community arts festivals throughout the year...

another plus ... walking around i loved listening to people's comments, which were overwhelmingly positive. I heard "I think we need to move down here" multiple times from a wide range of ages. As much as people liked the riverfront, it was like they were getting a second look at Miranova and like I said, I heard nothing but positive comments

One thing I'd like to see next year .... more street performers. different small dance stations, circus acts, etc.

Speaking of listening to people's comments...
I actually over heard a woman asking an artist who "in their right mind" would pay $700+ for a piece he had?
And the artist was very cordial explaining to her that his art was indeed a very niche market and how there are very few people who have that kind of disposable income to spend on what he offering.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing... I was embarrased for the woman.

yes please. I saw one, plus a kid's play behind the stage. The festival would definately benefit from more installations and performances.
