I think its a great idea, especially with Jack Hana's celeb status, COSI as a science exploratory and (its interest to add guests in the 20-40 age range) and OSU's Bio program. Location? Glad you asked! Maybe opposite of the amphitheatre in Columbus Commons, or some place near riversouth? It seems like common sense, I mean it doesn't have to be a huge display but.... what do you think?

i don't get some these out of the blue downtown wish lists. is this based on something that's in the works?

Just a wish! If we as a city are striving to create more pedestrian traffic, commerce and a family freindly atmosphere it would be nice to enjoy Downtown.

I think it would be tough with one already in Cincy.

it wouldn't be a huge display that would compete w cincy, but scaled so that multiple visitors could view, maybe as they walk by. Something viewed from both indoor and outdoor

It sounds like we're trying to turn our downtown into disney world with all this family friendly talk. I, for one, hope not. Bring on the casino in the AD.

We already have something like this in town, but not downtown. What was it called? Let me think a minute...Oh yeah, THE ZOO.

Why would we want something smaller than the zoo, smaller than Cincy, just some small thing to walk through and look at...I don't see the draw there.
But I still want one of those 2 million gallon thingies. If someone wants to build that I'll stare at it all day long. And if they could just line the glass wall with a bar...
Shit, I'd never leave.Posted 2 years ago # -
Just imagine all the crime, prostitution, drugs and old people it would bring downtown. Yeah, thats what we need.

I love the Columbus Zoo, but find their aquarium a bit lackluster. (I'm sure I'll get bashed for saying that.)

it'd be sweet if we had a roller coaster too.

There's no way to transport the orca to Columbus without high-speed rail.
