Funny Colin Gawel story. MANY years ago, like probably over 20, I worked at the Black Forest Inn (I forget what it is now, corner of Neil and Lane). Colin worked there as a bartender, part time I believe, as well. They had live music, mostly Mark Swabby or Lito Ramirez, and a few others off and on, and Colin would always ask to be able to play, but I don't think anyone ever took him very seriously, so the answer was usually "no".
Of course, fast forward 20 years, and Colin's had a pretty successful music career and that bar would be lucky to book him :D
Glad to see he's still making music, and liked the video on the site.
