Okay, that was scary. Read a proposed platform. Balanced budget amendment, free speech restrictions on media reports of campaign results, all tax increases certified in the next federal election. ick.
I'm gonna spend some time on this and I'll let you know if I think this is something worthwhile or not. (and I mean from a reasoned, not necessarily ideological, point of view. Even if I disagree with it, it could still have value in the political conversation)
And sadly, most rhetoric is empty.

@Jon, I see what you mean about 'me too' on the name. Actually, it would do no good to actually debate the "T-Party" its more about asking politicians to stop using fear and delay and use intelligent discourse. Time to decide with head vs heart.
In the video at 3:45, I love how she calmly, but firmly says politicians are hired by us and we need to start acting like their board of directors.
I am so tired of all the arguing. I like the way they are using social media to take this thing viral quickly.

Idk... I've been to Disney World before, and it's one of the happiest places on earth (isn't that what they say?). Maybe he SHOULD be president. At least then everyone would be happy, right? hehehehe!

Thanks for posting about the Coffee Party.
I would have named it the Green Tea Party or Beer Party instead but it's still a great concept. I hope you or some other person opens a Columbus chapter soon.
The t-party has been getting way too much attention. Less than 600 people were in attendence at the t-party convention for Sarah Palin's speech yet there were 3 times that many members of the media.
A little context, 125,000 people attended a comic book convention in San Diego recently.

Let's see. The Coffee Party is created to oppose the Tea Party because the Tea Party is alleged to be mindlessly opposed to government. Does this mean that the Coffee Party is going to be mindlessly in support of government?
