Inline skater/hacker/gamer hangout a la Hackers, 1995.

Shoot, I might just open the front part and rent the back two sections out for a film studio or something like that. Or an office for promoters and they can pay me in promotion...
Really, though, if I was able to get this space, I'd do a whole different concept, maybe a caribbean club or something like that.

I like the Caribbean theme, maybe w a live latin-carib music, n authentic food?

Seriously, though, anyone want to or know someone who wants to invest in something like this? I'm not financially able to do it alone, but I know I could make a club like this jump. Live bands on Thursdays, DJ on Friday and Saturday. Plus, its a great location for the crowd. Don't believe it can jump? Check out Skully's on a Sunday. It gets jam packed and the west indian crowd will support a club that is dedicated to them and their interests.
Maybe even use one of the other two spaces for a dedicated caribbean restaurant.

I'm def interested. I have potential investors, but they are hesitant because its in like 2 days! Columbus could greatly benefit from a carib/latin/mexican place. With good food as well! Hmm. I get so giddy just with the thoughts!

Give me a full Latin Brass band on a Friday or Saturday.
SOB's West if you will, but skip the $30 cover charge.

It's a shame... police scanner listeners are losing a valuable source of entertainment when Club Ice closes.

While driving into work today 'Club Dynasty' had a for sale sign on it saying basically the same thing. building, facilities, booze lisence, etc. For sale $200,000

nobody put a single bid in
too much of a liability
old news for anyone who was actually paying attention i know... but still we all had a good chuckle about it earlier today

So someone could have got this for a $1. Anyone remember the Simpsons where Bart bid $1 on an old warehouse?

I mean, I have no idea what I'd do with the space, and any renovations I did would have to come from Ikea, but "Owned my own night club" would be a great resume line ;-)

From the Columbus Dispatch...Club Ice auction falls flat as bidders keep distance
By Mark Ferenchik
Club Ice was to be sold yesterday, but when the 2p.m. sale started, auctioneer Chris Davis quickly called it off.
No bidders.

I am surprised no one bought it for the liquor license and equipment. My guess is that there is some stipulation that you take over some long disadvantageous lease at the building.

I don't see anything wrong with the location. It's pretty prime real estate at Long & Pearl. Just needs the right concept.

Well, sure. Revamp every less than desirable block in downtown Columbus and it becomes prime real estate.
