wow. i am totally jealous of her lack of clutter. my house has a very similar layout and there are no corners which aren't filled with a bookcase or something similar, all filled to the gills.

That's a good price for our neighborhood and I love the front porch. My kitchen is nicer though. ;)

I think there should be a new real estate law: You may not sell your house if any walls are painted red. You must repaint them in a neutral tone before you may list.

Which was less than it took for me to cover the neon mint green in the bathroom of the house I bought.
Also. I like red. Specially the red in that house. Dried blood red.

That's fine, unless you are selling your house. A red room, as nice as you think it might be, tells lots of potential buyers: "Here's something I'll have to fix right away."
And to other potential buyers it says "hey, here's one room I won't have to paint red myself!".
I get that you don't like it, but why do you think your tastes should be imposed on others?

Having a conversation with you is not worth the effort.

When we bought our house, every wall was painted beige and we thought "Here's something we'll have to fix right away."
Thankfully, painting rooms isn't really that hard or expensive (compared to other home "fixes" and projects).

Expecting others to cater to one's every whim is as immature as a child stamping their feet and holding their breath.
