ODOT is very excited to extend an invitation to the Healthy Communities Active Transportation (HCAT) conference to you! On May 9th and 10th, our organization will be joining federal, state and local partners in sponsoring Ohio’s second statewide conference on how to build healthy communities and encourage active transportation, such as biking, walking and transit. The Conference takes place at the Cleveland Play House along the Euclid Corridor.
The Healthy Communities Active Transportation (HCAT) Conference is a FREE, two-day event that will feature more than a dozen local and national experts. The conference will also feature two nationally recognized keynote speakers who will discuss how changes in the built environment have a positive effect on community health.
The conference was created with professionals from transportation, health, environmental policy, land use and economic development in mind. Speakers will share information on the most current standards, policies and programs used across the country. It’s also a forum for participants to learn how to create specific action plans for their community.
Please register today at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/hcat because space is limited and it will fill up. Continuing education credits will be available. Two area hotels have offered discounted hotel rates. Please see the attached flyer and the conference website for more information. Please see the website for more information.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
