CITYSCAPES YESTERYEAR: PAST & PRESENT

Columbus, OH, January 4, 2012 – In commemoration of the Columbus Bicentennial and Art for Community Expression (ACE), the King Arts Complex, Wohlegemuth Foundation and Jeffrey Buskrich & Associates presents “Cityscapes Yesteryear: Past & Present” Thursday, January 12, 2012-March 3, 2012 in the Elijah Pierce Gallery. This exhibition will feature original works of art that captures Columbus’s neighborhoods homes, landscapes and people of yesteryear.
Cityscapes Yesteryear: Past & Present”, will feature art by local painters Harvey Gilliam, Leon Page, Roman Johnson and photographer, Kojo Kamau. This exhibition will reflect the common bond they share in documenting urban surroundings that connect communities from the 1950’s to the present time. “One should always remember what we do today is tomorrow’s history”, states Kojo Kamau, Photographer and Co-founder of Art for Community Expression (ACE).
