CityMusic presents Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas at Via Vecchia Winery
CityMusic is proud to bring the musical partnership of Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas to Via Vecchia Winery in Columbus on Sunday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m.

Scotland's premier fiddle ambassador and 2011 inductee of the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, Alasdair Fraser has teamed up with the young California cello virtuoso Natalie Haas to create a sound of unrivaled beauty, eloquence and passion.
Fraser has a 30-year concert and recording career. He has been featured on movie soundtracks such as Titanic and Last of the Mohicans and has been honored with numerous awards, including a sponsorship by the British Council to represent Scotland’s music internationally and the Scottish Heritage Center Service Award for outstanding contributions to Scottish culture and traditions.
His musical partner, cellist Natalie Haas, is a 25-year-old graduate of the Julliard School of Music. She began attending Fraser’s Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School in California when she was 11 years old, and the two played their first concert together four years later. Since then, they have toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, with Natalie emerging as a leader in redefining the role of the cello in traditional music.
The duo represented Scotland at the Smithsonian Museum's Folklife Festival and has been featured on nationally broadcast Performance Today, the Thistle & Shamrock and Mountain Stage.
Tickets for Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for students. They can be purchased online at CityMusicColumbus.org or by calling the CityMusic office at 614-223-3093.
