Figlio's in Arlington or Grandview. I used to work there. Get the Balsamic salad and one of their pastas or pizzas. You won't be dissapointed

Delicious and reasonably priced.Have you been there for brunch? Looks impressive.
Salvi's brunch rocks. You wish you had a second stomach... the dessert table alone will make you cry.
It ranks as one of the best brunches I've ever had. I can't get past the brunch though, so I don't know what the food is like at other meals.

I've only been there once, but Milano's Steakhouse had a killer inexpensive eggplant Parmesan in June. The place looks a little beat up on the outside, but has family owned & operated for the past 50 years.

I stopped acting like I might order something else a long time ago and now don't even take the ostensible look at the menu. Although I have had some of their other items at brunch which does indeed rock hard.

Has anyone been to La Plaia in Emporium Square recently? Dave Pasqualone took over La Plaia in 2006 from the founder Italo Santilli, and is open for dinner 5:00-9:00 pm, Tues-Fri only. Some really great has come out of that little space (strip mall restaurant). Here's an article from this Week News 2006:
The last time I was there was in 2008, after Columbus Magazine prompted me to visit again. My dinner was as great as ever.
Columbus Magazine's 9 for $9 http://www.columbusmag.com/section-9for9-article.php?id=98
Fazoli's has a great sandwich, the Italian Four Cheese & Tomato Submarino that recently replaced the panini.
The eggplant Parmesan at Buca di Beppo is a killer if the grill the eggplant until it's crispy. Sometimes it's underdone.
Have you considered an Entertainment book? If you use it wisely, you can dine well for 1/2 the cost. They were clearing out the 2009 versions (due to expire in November) for $9. PM me if interested, I'll see if they are still available.

Trattoria Roma on Grandview Ave has a Monday special and GREAT deals on take out.Anne & I just had this for dinner!
http://www.trattoria-roma.com/carryout.html
Lots of food (enough to stuff two people) for $22! Anne saved my salad for lunch tomorrow, so it was really like we got enough food for three people for that price. ;)
The pasta sauce is excellent. Slightly spicy with whole cloves of garlic. Meatballs were tasty. The tiramisu isn't the traditional variety. More of the cream served in a chocolate cup with a lady finger on the side with a sliced strawberry. VERY good.
All around it was a great meal and traveled well back home in the car. I was very happy with it. And after hitting up The Spaghetti Warehouse (my earlier recommendation for cheap Italian food) a few weeks ago and spending slightly more money there (but also getting drinks) I felt like the money spent at Trattoria Roma was very well worth it.
Side note: I spotted Ted Celeste dining on the patio when I ran in to pick up our order. Celebrity spotting at Trat-R! :D

Trattoria Roma is my favorite, though when we go, it's not usually an inexpensive evening!
I think Moretti's in Upper Arlington delivers a great bang for my buck(s), and I love their patio. http://www.morettisofarlington.com/

CMH Gourmand has been raving about this place in Gahanna. I'm not sure about prices but it sounds really good.

There is a Columbus Foodcast about TAT Ristorante
http://columbusfood.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=398323I love right down the street from Lola's - the Gourmand's review just ensured I will check that out soon! Thanks!

CMH Gourmand - I owe you one!!
I ate at Lola's tonight and it was really, really good. I had a special - freshly made spinach tagliatelli with mushrooms and prosciutto in some sort of reduction(can't remember, must be the chianti) and light cream. It was amazing - can't wait to go back!
