Teo is a complete moron if he even does a single interview on this matter.
Once the draft is done, NOBODY will give a crap.
In 2 years max nobody will even remember this.
One day 5-10 years... if his NFL career lasts that long... it might actually come up in an interview.

There's really two plausible alternate scenarios: one, that they cooked this up, and then conspired for him to win Heisman (which I personally think is doubtful), or two, that he really is gay and in order to mask that (because the NFL is hardly a bastion of tolerance, and he would flat out not get drafted by some number of teams as a result) they cooked her up and then killed her off when convenient pre-draft.
ETA: He also claims to have talked to her on the phone all the time. But, dissauded anyone else from contacting her.

The initial story was kind of shocking, now it's just old and I think most people don't care (unless Deadspin report was correct and he was complicit). He's a dumb college kid who fell for a fake girl online (and apparently dude on the phone) who didn't even think to visit her or attend her funeral. Then he lied and mis-represented his story to media and teammates and his parents. There was nothing criminal. No one actually died. Move on.
