CAPA REPORTS BALANCED BUDGET FOR 2010-11 FISCAL YEAR
The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) today issued its 2010-11 fiscal year-end results for its Columbus operations and Lincoln Theatre Association, reporting balanced budgets for both non-profit organizations.
2010-11 was a banner year for CAPA with a 30% increase in attendance over the previous year. Accordingly, total theatre ticket sales also increased to $25 million, creating $74 million of economic impact for Columbus and central Ohio. The 2010 Festival Latino, a free, family festival taken on by CAPA in 2009, also saw a 75% increase in attendance.
“We are pleased to report another balanced budget and successful year for CAPA,” stated CAPA Board Chair Michael Petrecca. “It was a busy and exciting time, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to serve central Ohio in the new season.”
Re-elected to additional three-year terms were Chair Michael Petrecca, Vice Chair Lawrence Fisher, Secretary Barbara Lach, Diane McCloy, John L. Carter, and Jack Partridge. Newly elected board members include Robin Mink of PNC.
