Can someone recommend a good and reliable taxi service?

I have to get to location on the west side on Roberts Rd. Unfortunately my appointment is in the mid-morning, when there are no buses scheduled to go out there or back around this time during the day.
I'll have to go by taxi. In the past I've used Yellow Cab and Acme Cab. "Sometimes" they have been prompt and quick, but most of the time they have not!
Yellow Cab advertises on their cabs that they take credit card, since most people like myself carry little or no cash. Most of my experiences have ended with the drivers refusing to take it by saying the card machine is broken. So it ends up costing me more when they have to take me to a ATM.
So I'll be taking some cash out just to get good and quick service by trying a new company.

So any referrals will be greatly appreciated :)

We always use Blue Cab - 614-236-4444. Extremely nice guys who are always "five minutes" away regardless of where you are and what time it is. I've never had a problem with them, just with people stealing the cab that I called. I'm 90% sure they take credit card too.

Ok, so I did call German Village. The driver got there very quickly, but he hardly pushed on gas on the free way?! He went the wrong way twice when I got to my destination. So I ended up paying $26. On the way back I used German Village again, he did get there quickly, and was going the normal speed on the free way like everyone else. This time it cost me $19. Both times they responded and picked me up quickly, but I am 50/50 on how fast they wanted to go to get me there.
Maybe I'll try Blue Cab next time and see how that goes.

+1 on Blue Cab, they seem to be the best in Columbus in my experience, not that that is any high praise.

True about the "5 minutes" jazz, but in general they're quick enough.

If you have a credit card or a bike let them know ahead of time. Not all drivers accept credit cards and not all drivers accept bikes.

+1 for Blue Cab. I used to travel frequently for work; used them all the time for trips to the airport and they were incredibly reliable and efficient.
