My parents are coming in to town! I haven't seen them since September, so I'm really excited to once again give them the best Columbus has to offer. My problem is that I will be acting until about 8:30 or 9 when they come to town, so dinner is out but a late snack is in. What's a good place to take my family that isn't a loud bar?

You could try Burgundy Room. Lemongrass is pretty chill and they close at 11:30 on Saturdays.

Haiku is really nice, they often play music on the weekends. And the patio is so relaxing...with the lights and sound of the water, while watching the city fly by you. Now I want to go!

River Club @ Confluence Park maybe? They close at 10pm though.

Spagio's patio is nice for a late night snack, and you have Stauf's and Jeni's Splendid next door for an espresso and dessert.

Nida's Thai. Went there last night to visit Viv and they are open until 2am on Fridays and Saturday. They also have a late night happy hour with drink specials.
Also, maybe one of the Liz Lessner restaurants.

Ooo, lots of good ideas. I especially like the Spagio one since we're within walking distance (although I doubt my mother's knees would agree with me).

Short North - (aside from those listed) MoJoe Lounge is low-key and there's the coffee-shop half too. Travonna is a late night coffee shop: close at 10 Saturday
German Village - just about anywhere but Thurman's or Club 185: Lindey's, Cup O Joe/MoJoe, Pistachia Vera (before 7), Old Mohawk, Juergens, etc.
Clintonville - Cup O Joe, Lavash Cafe, Denise's Ice Cream,
Peach District - On the Fly
