People are People
Franklinton Arts District seeks submissions for an exhibition to be held in conjunction with the second annual “GO WEST!†event on Saturday, June 12 2010. This year’s offering will pair three curated gallery spaces with live music and entertainment in the 900 block of West Broad Street of historic Franklinton. People are People will take place at 897 W. Broad St.
We are interested in artwork that investigates the visual aspects of human nature: Through depicting an individual, group, or structures, how people interact with each other or with their environment, or how human behavior leaves its mark behind. We are looking for artwork that explores who we are, what we do, and why we do it.
All applications must be received by midnight May 31st, 2010
Please submit the following information:
· Name
· Address
· Phone
· Email
· A brief artist statement explaining how your artwork fits into the theme of the exhibition
· Submit up to 5 digital images as high quality JPGs. (Please, no power point presentations)
· Submit an image list with the title, medium, dimensions, and date of each image. (If the framed size is 5†greater than the image size, please include the framed size).
