2011 will mark the 50th Anniversary of the Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable. To celebrate this momentous occasion, local artists from Franklin and surrounding counties are called to submit designs for the Columbus Arts Festival Commemorative Print. The ideal work will capture the spirit and vibrancy of the arts in Columbusâ€â€and represent the impact the Columbus Arts Festival has had on the city over the past 50 years. The deadline to submit work for the competition is Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
Designing the Commemorative Print for the 50th annual Columbus Arts Festival is a fantastic opportunity for an artist to share work with Festival fans and art lovers throughout the community. The Greater Columbus Arts Council is thrilled to open this competition to Columbus’ many talented local artists.
Artists must design and execute a piece of work that is print-ready or photographed to be such as a commemorative print suitable for reproduction by the Columbus Arts Festival. The chosen artist for the 2011 Commemorative Print will receive $1000, VIP passes to the Festival, associated merchandise and a complimentary booth space (if desired) at the 2011 Columbus Arts Festival. The top nine artists will receive $100. There is a $10 fee per entry.
Entries must be received by Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in order to have an original art design considered for the 2011 Columbus Arts Festival Commemorative Print.
Artist collaborations are allowed for this competition. A blind jury will select the top 10 entries to be displayed on ColumbusArtsFestival.org for public vote. The public vote will determine the 2011 Columbus Arts Festival Commemorative Print winner.
