On the ballot for California this November 2, 2010. Eee, how exciting for them, I bet it passes and will be totally awesome.
What say you? Good, bad, indifferent?

My dream of seeing a gay couple get married while burning a fat blunt could come one step closer to reality.
^excellent perspective.
Haven't touched the stuff ( or booze ) in over 15 years.
Legalize it and tax it, just like alcohol.
even if the proposition is passed, the sale of marijuana will remain illegal under federal law
Unless California plans to leave the Union, this has zero effect on the sale and possesion of pot.
Plus, Chase (as an example) checks for it in their drug screen and will refuse you employment if it's found.
buzz kill dude, obama will so send a nasty letter!
Who cares weed is for teenagers, college kids and the unemployed, from about 13-26 I would have loved this.
All this talk of pot is giving me a craving for 'Cottage Inn' pizza
I wonder how many docs are pissed they might be losing out on all the office visit fees people have had to pay in order to get a script.
What do you think it would do to the cost if this passes? I'd pay more, if only for the convenience.
You can always tell someone's age by whether they say pot or weed. No offense I just never hear anyone but my mother say pot.

It's already pretty effectively legal in California. You just have to spend a little money to get a doctor to write you a prescription.

Apparently so is forming complete sentences? I, for one, am an adult and full time professional and would love to see this pass as a first step toward full national legalization.
It WILL make a difference, hence the fact that they have been building a case for legalizing it for years now with thewhole medical thing. That has been at odds with Federal law the entire time, so by Tenzo's reasoning legalized medical that has been a big deal should have made no difference as well.
If it becomes legal here its going to be interesting, wont change much here for awhile but maybe one day, one day!

(or both actually, but yeah.)
Guy, I drink wine. I'm wearing a suit right now, wrong person.
it's called "grass," people. Get it right. And yes, in the words of Peter Tosh...legalize it. It ain't hurtin' no one.
You stated it like a fact rather than an opinion, but whatever.
I for one hope California legalizes weed, but as Cookie stated, Cali residents can easily obtain a medical card currently...
"Oh yeah.. uhm I'm kind of anxious but I don't want to go on anti-depressants..."
If California legalizes pot it will greatly increase their tourism revenue.
